Round Eleven: Six Hours of Fuji

So the 2017 World Endurance Championship season returns to Mt Fuji for round seven this weekend. There are no entrylist changes for this round bar a few driver changes in LMP2 with James Rossiter replacing Alex Lynn in the no.26 G-Drive Oreca. Before Le Mans there was some talk of Toyota possibly fielding a third car for this their home round but the failure at Le Mans seem to have scuppered those plans leaving the LMP1 field at four cars. In LMP2 Jackie Chan DC Racing hold a 20 point lead over Rebellion Racing so expect the fight to be fierce in the third last race of the championship.

In GTE-Pro Ferrari leads the manufacturers chase by a substantial 40 points which is not insurmountable but presents a challenge for the other three in Aston, Ford and Porsche who between them are only separated by 6 points. In GT-Am American gentlemen driver Mike Hedlund replaces team owner Mike Wainright in the Gulf Racing Porsche with the team looking to bounce back after brake issues at the last race. The gap between the top six drivers here representing Aston Martin Racing, Dempsey Proton and Clearwater Racing is only fourteen points with much to gained or lost in these last three races. The locals have Keita Sawa to cheer for also in the Clearwater Ferrari.

Enjoy the race

So for this round we are tipping in two classes P1 and GTE Pro

One point is given for accurately tipping the outright pole winner which will be a P1 car

And one point is given for tipping a top three position within the top three.

Please note that if there are less then three P1 finishers then third goes to who last retired before race end.

or

Two points for an exact finishing position within the top three

FOR EACH CLASS P1 and GTE Pro

So with that in mind a perfect score would gather thirteen points.

Please feel free to post your tips up in this thread until that time. You can change your tips as often as you like before then, you can either edit your post or if you can't do that then make another post-if in that case we'll take the latest post by the poster in this thread as their final tips.

Can you please use this format for your post

Besides your tips, banter and other chat are allowed.

Overall results after Round Eleven

With one round to go the series hasn't been decided with James3592 leading the pack into the final turn on 47 points, close behind him are Miguel and Richo with Porsche91722 on their heels. With a maximum of thirteen points to be gained from the last round in Bahrain on the 18th November for the Six Hours WEC race, Miguel and Richo still have a chance to snatch the win from James3592 but after seeing his tipping this year it will be a tough challenge for those two to unsettle someone who has been pretty consistent through out the season. Behind them there are at least five people who can make serious gains into second and third if Miguel or Richo stumble.

James3592- 47 points
Miguel- 42 points
Richo –42 points
Porsche91722- 40 points
Maverick- 38 points
RedZedMikey- 37 points
StueyB83 37 points
Goat69- 36 points
KSM86- 22 points
jdyort- 18 points
R4z3rw33n- 4 points
SP2511- 4 points

The last round takes place on November 18th for The Six Hours of Bahrain WEC race.

I will have the rundown up a bit in advance as this is the final round so around the start of November. Thanks to everyone who has shared the journey so far. Enjoy

You've got nothing to worry about from me I'm more likely to emulate Bjorn Wirdheim at Monaco then anything else.

Keep an eye out for Miguel, he's Dutch so he probably chooses his tips whilst smoking a joint or a wheel of cheese
