Thats a super late decision by Maranello. Would be sad if thats a reaction or power play from Mark Coffey to the CAMS announcement.

McLaren factory driver Alvaro Parente joins Fraser Ross this weekend and they have a nice retro livery for the car.

Presumably Alvaro is joining as navigator, because that looks ready to rally. Dig it.

That's awesome news. There's nobody better than Alvaro in sports cars right now.

YNA/McElrea have done a nice job on the livery, too. Good mix of old school and modern livery design.

15 cars for Hampton Downs including a number of local entries which is welcome.

www.speedcafe.com/2017/10/26/field-set-hampton-downs-500/

Fifteen cars is actually heartening to see after the rumors that had been going around in the lead up to this weekend.

Speedcafe will carry a live stream as will the official AGT site I'm assuming.

Even taking into account the logistics and money involved in doing the NZ rounds, 15 cars is a pretty disappointing. However, not all that unexpected given everything that's happened this year.

Fingers crossed 2018 sees an improvement in grid numbers.

Not sure but Tim Miles in the enduro leading Audi has had an off and some decent damage.

Shame to hear about the Trass car, nice looking livery on it these days.

Pretty shattered to hear this morning that Scudd was out for the weeeknd. Was hoping after Sydney for Roger and his band of merry men to have a good weekend like they did last year but unfortunately not. Thats racing for you. Fingers crossed they'll be back for Highlands.

I enjoyed watching Parente in the McLaren in qualifying, he had thing turning and burning but wasnt enough to catch a mega effort from Martin and Talbot to grab pole. They're gonna be very strong tomorrow if the track stays wet.

Roll on the race tomorrow.
