Mmmmm with you saying that. I seen over the weekend a 488 in your part of the world that has just had an engine upgrade....food for thought.

DPM have confirmed their return in the Trophy series next year in the Camaro.

I think I'd like it if the AGT website was in a format that I can use to view the calendar on my phone

Good calendar - I think.

Excellent variation of sprint, endurance and mix of events.

Interested to see what they do with the driver seedings/pit stop times as the events will allow for a combination of both 1 and 2 driver across the championship.

I hope the teams get behind and support the championship in 2018

Is the trophy series its own category or included in the gt championship races?

Limited options I know, but very disappointing not to have at least one event in Queensland.

Yes, it’s combined this year other than 1 round

This year the Sprint, Endurance, and Trophy series were separate, and each had their own champion.
The way the posted calendar reads, the Sprint and Endurance races will be combine in 1 CAMS Australian GT championship, with the Trophy series remaining separate. Is this a correct interpretation?

Living in Vic, I think it's a great calendar, but I feel for those that the series will not come to.

Unfortunately there is only a very slim chance I will get to the B12 this year, but the Tailem Bend event might well be doable. Will have to see if 2018 takes us back to decent fields again, I could do with a trip to Adelaide!

I am most excited by the Tailem Bend round. GT cars should be racing enduros, so I cannot wait to see them carve up that new circuit. Any idea of what the endurance format will be? The Hampton Downs round will all be 501km event right? Will the TB endurance round be the same?

Off the top of my head - I think the HD 12 is separated as part of the AP36 hours program - however the AGT hampton round is scheduled to allow AGT teams to practically back-to-back the events and save on logistical costs.

Not a bad idea in my book.

I think the combination of sprint & enduro into a single championship is a great move. More chances to catch the Trophy series as a bonus too.

It's a very VIC heavy calendar though, and I feel bad for QLD.

Excited to see The Bend, but I won't manage a trip down there in 2018. Hopefully the last sentence of the article will mean more consistent coverage for everyone:

Australian GT will enjoy strong coverage, with free to air, subscription, and live stream options allowing fans to enjoy every round of the 2018 campaign.

Im in QLD at the moment but looking at moving early next year down south so this might work out well for me.

Would love to check out the Tailem Bend round if Im based out of Melbourne. I think thats quite doable for me.

With the Supercars round at Sydney, will Aus GT run their races on Sunday as the Supercars will be running mostly on Saturday with the whole night race thing? They might get better pit priority then too...

I honestly don't know what to say about the calender.

After soo much growth 2 years ago it looks like Aus GT will remain a small player in the motorsport scene.
